All work is original. No prints. If someone wants one of my paintings, I work to make it happen.
Around $30.
I paint 8×10 ink-wash paintings on paper without a frame. The proud owner can then find a frame, often a vintage or thrifted frame, to fit the painting. I paint hundreds of these paintings a year.
Around $250 to $300.
Medium-size work, in the 24-inch to 30-inch range, is the Swiss army knife of paintings. It will fit in most homes, offices, or conference rooms. It is large enough to be a focal point in a room and make a statement. In most art shows, this is the most common size.
Works of this size are displayed in virtual frames in online galleries. THEN, the artwork is shipped to the happy owner in a cost-effective mailing tube with no framing. The owner can then handle the framing in their hometown, spending whatever they feel comfortable with, choosing whatever style frame they desire.
I sell custom artwork of this size in person using vintage and thrifted frames. The cost is a fraction of what it would cost to take the art to a framing shop. This method displays and protects the work well and is environmentally friendly. The owner is free to re-frame this custom art. Or not.
$500 to $1000
Colossal work: think 5 feet by 7 feet, is a specialty of mine! Nothing makes a more impactful statement than large art. Large art is usually owned only by the wealthy and large corporations. Large art makes an undeniable impression on anyone in the same room as these works.
With my minimal style, I can make a large painting ON CANVAS for $500 to $1000. Not tens of thousands! I love making these paintings. People cherish these paintings. If we can make this work, you should go for it.
People display larger-than-life paintings everywhere. In large nonprofit conference rooms. In lobbies. In courtrooms. But even in small offices, home offices, as a “zoom backgrounds,” and even in a tiny home.
Most owners of my large works display their paintings tapestry style. On request, I attach these canvas paintings onto a wooden board. That board is easily attached to a wall. The canvas hangs freely in the space. This is both a cost-effective and attractive way to display these large, powerful art pieces. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is as powerful as a wall-size original painting on canvas.
This approach allows me to ship the work in a large mailing tube. The owner can hang the work with no framing cost as soon as the work arrives. The new owner could also have the work stretched on stretcher boards and displayed as a “gallery wrap.” Of course, the owner could go all in and have a custom wooden frame made like you see in a museum. All future hanging options remain open to the collector on my jumbo sized paintings.
Let’s talk.
